Staff
Our staff is caring and professional. They are required to complete 15 hours of training annually, as well as keep current in educational trends, and CPR and first-aid training. Any questions or concerns may be directed to the Daycare Director, Mrs. Sarah Watkins.
Our Kindergarten is directed by Mrs. Judy Epps.
Curriculum
Our all day child care program includes a preschool curriculum that provides a range of age-appropriate learning centers, group activities, individual instruction, and plenty of fun learning experiences.
The children learn such things as shapes, colors, numbers, counting, letters and sounds, weather and seasonal changes, listening and following directions, and pencil and scissor control.
Children in the Three and Four year old classes are introduced to pre-academics to ready them for kindergarten.
Our Kindergarten is a fully accredited kindergarten program for preparing your child for the first grade.
Classes
Our classes are organized by appropriate ages, depending on month of birth, with further consideration given to the Creepers and Toddlers classes.
Infants (6 weeks to 10 months)
Creepers (crawling to walking)
Toddlers (walking to 2 years)
Twos-Threes (24-36 months)
Three year olds (3 to 4 years)
Four year olds (4 to 5 years)
Kindergarten (5 years old)
To ensure the finest care for each child, we limit the number of children in the classrooms according to the following teacher to student ratios (most of the time our ratios are actually lower than these limits):
Infants and Creepers (cradle to walking): 1 teacher to 5 students
Toddlers (walking to 2 years): 1 teacher to 6 students
Twos-Threes (24-36 months): 1 teacher to 10 students
Three years and older: 1 teacher to 13 students

Meals & Snacks
For full-time students we provide breakfast and lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks at no extra cost.
For children under 24 months, we consult with parents to develop a plan regarding diet and eating schedules. Parents of infants supply formula bottles daily. As each baby begins a dietary program, baby food is provided.
Parent Involvement
Parents are always encouraged to visit during the day and to participate in all activities. We welcome volunteers to come in and read books, sing songs, tell stories, do crafts, or just play.
Parents are invited to all holiday luncheons and to our quarterly Day Care Dinners, sponsored by our Daycare Board, as well as the Back to School night at the beginning of the school year, and the Commencement Assembly at the end of the school year. We offer parent conferences on request.
